Detective Bureau

The Detective Bureau’s primary function is conducting follow up investigations of crimes occurring within the Borough of Seaside Heights. Detectives are primarily responsible for locating and interviewing victims and witnesses; locating identifying and preserving physical evidence; recovering stolen property; indentifying, locating, interviewing and arresting criminal suspects. Obtaining Police Reports Police reports are made available during the regular business hours, Monday – Friday 8:00am-3:00pm excluding holidays. Please have ID ready when asking for a copy of a police report.  For further questions regarding police reports or records, please contact the Records Department at 732-793-1037.

Communications

The Seaside Heights Police Department employs 8 full time Communications Officers.  The Communications Officers perform several important tasks including the handling of emergency and non-emergency calls for service, the dispatching and monitoring of Police &Emergency Medical Services (EMS) within Seaside Heights Boro.
